Outdoor Sunday Gathering Info

Song Lyrics for August 9 Gathering

(Updated July 23)

Below are important details to help you prepare for being together for our outdoor services. Please take time to read through all of them and let me know if you have any questions.

Time, Location, Service Details
We will gather at 5PM in the upper parking lot of Redeeming Grace Church (5200 Ox Road). Click here for a map to show you where to park and where we will be sitting.

The majority of the seating area will be in the shade. If you think you might want to or end up sitting in a sunny area feel free to bring an umbrella or canopy.

We have a simple liturgy that will include a call to worship, 3-4 songs, sermon, prayer, announcements, and benediction. We will not be taking communion at this time.

The service will be over no later than 6PM.

Bathrooms will be available for emergency use, with no more than 3 people allowed inside at a time unless it is a family unit. Masks must be worn inside the building.

We will notify you via email and post on this page if the service is canceled due to weather. Continue to pray for beautiful Sunday evenings!

Social Distancing Required
As you arrive please seek to space yourself/family apart from others by approximately 10 feet. Each parking space is 8’ feet wide and 16‘ long as a point of reference.

Please assume that no one is comfortable with close conversations, high-fives, handshakes, or hugs unless you know that is not the case.

It is important that you respect one another’s space before, during, and after the service. This includes not letting your kids play with other kids unless you know that the other parents/kids are okay with that.

The playground will be open and available to use at your own discretion. It will not be cleaned before or after the service.

Masks will not be required since we will be outside, but you are more than welcome to wear one if it makes you feel more comfortable.

BYOE
Bring your own everything—Bibles, coloring sheets/activities for your kids, chairs, blankets, drinks, food, etc.

If you plan on using a device for your kids, please do so with headphones as to not distract from others participation and experience.

If you desire to Give please do so online. The Give Box will not be available.

Facebook Live & Sermon Recording
We will stream the service on Facebook Live from Sojourn’s page (facebook.com/sojournfairfax).

We are hoping it will provide an opportunity for those who do not feel comfortable gathering or are unable to gather to participate from home.

The sermon audio will be recorded and posted on our website, App, and iTunes by Monday.

Singing & Song Lyrics
We will be singing 3-4 congregational songs during the service, led by some of our worship leaders.

A link to the lyrics will be at the top of this page each week. You can print them off at home and bring them with you or access on your phone during the service.

After Service Picnic/Hangout
After the service is over feel free to stay for a socially distanced picnic. Bring your dinner and hang around to fellowship if you feel comfortable. A soccer game will be happening on the RGC field as well at 6:30PM.

Bathrooms will not be available after 6:30PM.

We look forward to seeing many of you and will miss seeing those who are unable to gather at this time.
