Come and See His Glory | Colossians 1:24-29

Posted by Justin Pearson on

Hello Family,

This coming Sunday is the 4th Sunday of Advent. Christmas is almost here! I hope that this season has encouraged you and refreshed your soul as you see the glory of God in Jesus.

This Sunday we will be in Colossians 1:24-29, focusing in on v. 27. Then on Christmas Eve we will be gathering together with Redeeming Grace Church at 6PM.

Make plans to attend and think of a few people you could invite to come with you.

Here are some questions to consider as you study the text ahead of Sunday:

  • Read v. 24-25 together. How is he serving the church? Why does this matter?
  • What does he mean by the word of God being a mystery hidden for ages and generations? How has it been revealed to his saints?
  • He further defines the mystery in v. 27. What is it? What does Paul mean by Christ in you? How would you explain this to someone who isn't a Christian?
  • Why is Christ in you the hope of glory? What is encouraging to you about this truth?
  • In light of that, what is significant about what he says in v. 28-29? How does this effect how we live our lives?
  • How does this fit in with the Advent season?
  • Who is someone you can encourage with something you learned from this text?

See you Sunday!

.grace and peace.
