I enjoyed getting into John with you this past Sunday and hope you were encouraged and are excited as we strive together to see Jesus rightly. 

This week we will be in John 1:6-13.

Verses to memorize: John 1:12-13

Here are some questions to consider as you study the text ahead of Sunday:

• Why does the Apostle John add this kind of aside about John the Baptist? What relevance does it have to the text?
• What do we glean about Jesus from v. 9-10, specifically his coming into the world? 
• What does v. 11 tell us about the state of sinful hearts toward Christ and grace? How do see this play out in your own life or the lives of those around you?
• What is the key truth that John is seeking to communicate in v. 11 and drive home in v. 12? What should this lead us to in our own lives when we think about our own salvation, identity, and calling? 
• Who is one person you can encourage with something you learned from this text?
