Study Questions: John 10:1-21

Posted by Justin Pearson on

Family,

I am so looking forward to gathering with you in person on Sunday! We will be sending out more info soon. Continue to pray for good weather!

This week we dive into John 10:1-21. It's another favorite text for me, full of metaphor, meaning, and promise.

Here are some questions to consider as you study the text ahead of Sunday:

  • What is significant about the metaphors Jesus uses? Why does he use them and what he is seeking to communicate to his audience?
  • Who are the thieves and robbers Jesus is referring to? Does Jesus' warning against them still apply today? If so, how?
  • Jesus makes two more "I am" statements. What do we learn about him from each?
  • What is significant and encouraging about v. 10? What does Jesus mean? What does he not mean?
  • In light of the metaphors used, what is important about what Jesus says in v. 11, 17-18?
  • Who is Jesus talking about in v. 16? Why is this important?
  • Who is someone you can encourage this week with something you learned from the text?

See you Sunday!

.grace and peace.
Justin
