Study Questions: Philippians 2:14-18

Posted by Justin Pearson on

Hello Family,

I hope that your week is off to a good start!

For those of you still traveling for Thanksgiving, we missed you this past Sunday. I would encourage you to listen to the sermon as it is about sanctification and how we change as we follow Jesus. You can do so by clicking here.

This week will be the first Sunday of Advent! We will continue on in Philippians, but be singing some Christmas songs as well.

Text to be preached: Philippians 2:14-18

Study and Reflection Questions:

  • Why does Paul give this command in v. 14? How is it connected to what he has already said in Philippians 2?
  • What does it mean that they can be blameless and innocent children of God in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation?
  • How does v. 14 relate to being a light in the world? What does it mean to be shine as lights in the world?
  • Why is it important to hold fast to the world of life? How do we do this?
  • Why do you think Paul says what he says in the rest of v. 16 through v. 18?
  • Who can you encourage this week from something you learned from this text?

Enjoy time in God's word this week!

.grace and peace.
Justin
