Study Questions: Philippians 2:19-30

Posted by Justin Pearson on

Hello Family,

I hope you're enjoying the beginning of this Advent season. I want to encourage you to take time this month to reflect on the glorious gift of grace it is that the Father sent the Son to us as one of us to rescue us.

If you are looking for some legit Christmas music to listen to (i.e. not a Holly Jolly Christmas), music that points you to Christ, check out this amazing playlist: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/111-great-songs-advent/

7+ hours of Advent music! It has been on at my house and in my car and has been really refreshing and encouraging to me.

For the next two weeks we will be continuing on in Philippians before taking a brief break for the end of December. Here's some info for this week...

Text to be preached: Philippians 2:19-30

Study and Reflection Questions:

  • Why do you think Paul inserts these comments about Timothy and Epaphroditus at this point in his letter?
  • What observations do you make about these two brothers? What is encouraging or challenging to you about them?
  • How does this text make you think about our call to community and mission?
  • What are two practical applications you can glean from this text?
  • Who can you encourage this week from something you learned from this text?

Enjoy studying God's word this week!

.grace and peace.
