Study Questions: Philippians 3:12-16

Posted by Justin Pearson on

As we begin the New Year I want to encourage us to be a people of the word. May we be a church that relentlessly pursues God through his word so that we might see and savor Christ and make much of him in our lives and world!

With that being said, I want to encourage you to make a plan in 2019 to be in God's word! As a reminder, you can find a Basic Bible Study Method by clicking here. Additionally, I want to encourage us to be studying Philippians together as we finish this glorious book over the next few months!

This week we will be in Philippians 3:12-16.

Here are some questions for you to consider as you study the text ahead of Sunday:

  • How does this text connect with what Paul has said in the preceding verses? How does it fit within the overall context of the letter?
  • What is Paul pressing on to make his own?
  • What is encouraging about the fact that Christ Jesus has made you his own?
  • What does Paul mean in v. 14? What does this look like lived out in your life and in community?
  • What does it mean to be mature (v. 15)? How can we determine whether we are mature or not? How can we help each other do this?
  • Who can you encourage this week from something you learned in the text?

Enjoy Jesus this week!

.grace and peace.
