Study Questions: Philippians 4:10-13

Posted by Justin Pearson on

Hello Family,

I'm so thankful for the sun shine today. I don't know about you, but the dreary and dark winter days can wear on my soul.

I am also thankful that in the dark winters of our lives, whether literally or figuratively, there are texts like the one we are going to be in this Sunday.

I hope it will be an encouragement to you as you study it this week.

We will be in Philippians 4:10-13.

Here are some questions to consider as you study the text ahead of Sunday:

  • In v. 10 Paul mentions rejoicing in the Lord again. In light of his circumstances how does this encourage and challenge you?
  • What does it mean that the Philippians had concern for Paul?
  • What does it really mean to be content by Paul's definition and example?
  • What is significant about the fact that he had to learn to be content?
  • v. 13 is often taken out of context. What does it mean in context? How can you rightly apply it to your life? How is encouraging to you?
  • Where might there be a lack of or struggle with contentment in your life right now?
  • Who is someone you can encourage this week from something you learned from this text?

Enjoy time pursuing God through his word this week!

.grace and peace.
Justin
