Study Questions: Philippians 4:2-3

Posted by Justin Pearson on

Hello family,

I hope you're able to get outside some today and enjoy this nice weather! I can't wait for Spring and Summer to be here!

This week we dive into chapter 4 of Philippians and will be focusing on just two verses. Because of the nature of the text and topic, I want you to study the text, but also (as you'll see) take some time to be a bit more introspective.

This week we will be in Philippians 4:2-3.

Here are some questions for you to consider as you study the text ahead of Sunday:

  • What is happening in this very personal passage?
  • Why is Paul talking about resolving conflict in light of the context of this letter?
  • What do you learn about conflict and resolving conflict from these two verses?
  • When you think of conflict in community, how do you generally feel about it?
  • How have you or do you seek to resolve conflict in community or at home? Is it honoring to Christ?
  • How have you seen others deal with conflict in a godly or ungodly way?
  • Are there any people you need to talk with or things you need to repent of in light of studying this text and listening to the Spirit?
  • Who is someone you can encourage this week with something you learned in this text?

Enjoy Jesus and his word this week!

.grace and peace.
Justin
